Overview

Health Data Exporter and Health Data AI Analyzer are designed to help you export, transfer, and analyze your Apple Health data. We aim to keep your health data under your control.

What data the apps access

On iPhone, Health Data Exporter may request read-only access to Apple Health data that you choose to share, such as steps, heart rate, sleep, workouts, blood pressure, glucose, and body measurements. The app does not write data back to Apple Health.

On Mac, Health Data AI Analyzer accesses health export files that you explicitly import, download, or sync into the app.

How your data is used

Your data is used only to create exports, transfer files to destinations you choose, show charts and summaries, provide local analysis features inside the apps, and generate optional AI analysis that you request. We do not sell your health data and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your data goes

By default, core export and analysis workflows operate on your device. If you enable optional sync or delivery features, your export files or compact payloads may be sent to destinations you configure, including iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, Nextcloud / WebDAV, Home Assistant, REST API endpoints, or direct local transfer between your iPhone and Mac.

Those destinations are user-configured and controlled by you. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy and security practices.

Health Data AI Analyzer does not automatically send Apple Health exports to third-party AI services. Cloud AI sharing happens only when you choose a cloud AI provider and approve the in-app data sharing prompt for that analysis.

Accounts and credentials

Some optional integrations require credentials such as OAuth sign-in, access tokens, usernames, app passwords, or API endpoints. These are used only to enable the sync or delivery features you choose. Where supported, credentials are stored locally in app-managed secure storage such as Keychain.

AI analysis and third-party providers

Some features may let you run AI analysis on your health data. This is optional and only happens when you explicitly choose an AI analysis action inside the app.

Local AI providers such as Ollama, LM Studio, Jan, and LocalAI use localhost endpoints on your Mac. When you use a local provider, Health Data AI Analyzer sends the prompt and compact summary only to the local server address you configured.

If you choose a cloud AI provider, the app first shows an in-app permission prompt that identifies the recipient and describes the data that will be sent. Cloud AI requests send your written analysis request and a compact Health Data Summary generated from the imported Apple Health analysis. That summary may include selected metrics such as steps, distance, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, weight, workouts, stress, body battery, VO2 max, date ranges, averages, totals, and trend aggregates. The raw Apple Health export file is not sent to AI providers.

Cloud AI recipients can include OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, and the model provider routed by OpenRouter. These providers receive the data only to process the AI analysis you requested. We select providers that publish privacy and security commitments for handling customer data, and we require that third-party providers protect data with protections equivalent to those described in this policy and their own applicable terms.

If you do not want health information sent to third-party AI services, do not approve cloud AI analysis. Where supported, local-only analysis options provide an alternative.

Analytics and diagnostics

We may collect limited product analytics or diagnostics related to app performance, subscription flow events, or website usage. We do not intentionally transmit raw Apple Health records for advertising or resale except where you explicitly choose a feature that sends data to a configured service or AI provider.

Data retention

Health export files and analysis results remain on your devices or in the destinations you choose unless you delete them. You can remove synced files, local imports, and configured integrations at any time.

Children's privacy

These apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the apps.
